Saturday 11th August 10am - 5pm - An Exhibition of Memories of Enmore Green and St Johns Church in the church.. Come and find out some of the history of this part of Shaftesbury, the people and the stories. On display: church and school records, transcripts of the 1939 Register and some Censuses, poll books etc. maps and photos, newspaper articles, and details of those commemorated on our war memorial,
This is a work in progress so do come and share your memories of Enmore Green and contribute to our knowledge of its history.
Refreshments will be served through the day.We look forward to seeing you.

Please note the Team Barn Service on the Sunday 29th July is now at Lower Breach Farm, West Orchard, SP7 0LL. It is still at 11am, led by Bishop Karen and followed by a Bring & Share lunch.There is parking available and maps should be available in your church or on the following link.

Places for the Team Retreat, at The Greenhouse Christian Centre in Poole on 21-23 September, are filling fast, with only a few rooms still available.

Team Communion Service on 1st July

Celebrant: The Revd Kevin Martin, St Peter’s Church

Sunday 1st July  4.00pm Followed by celebratory refreshments to mark Kevin’s ordination to the priesthood. All welcome.

Please allow time for parking as it is Gold Hill Fair.

Come and enjoy a morning in a beautiful garden while helping the Friends of North Dorset Women’s Refuge to keep up their support of families who have had to escape from Domestic Abuse. What’s domestic abuse you ask? Our Committee members will be happy to help answer that question!

Come to Grove Farm House, Melbury Abbas SP7 0DE on Wednesday 27th June from 10.30 till 12.00 and enjoy a wander, meeting others, perhaps winning the raffle, certainly being generous.

Shaftesbury Community Choir will be singing in the courtyard during the morning

Our coffee is excellent as are our home made cakes so please come and enjoy the morning.

Sorry, we can’t cope with dogs – lack of shade in the car parking area.

We are working towards an Exhibition of Enmore Green Memories in the church on Saturday 11th August so we will be very grateful if you are able to lend items or allow us to copy items for display. Wednesday 13 June –Things that Make for Peace – Journeys in Peacemaking across the Globe - The Rt. Reverend Peter Price, former Bishop of Bath and Wells.

7.30pm (Doors open 7.00pm) St. John’s Church, Enmore Green Shaftesbury SP7 8QR  At the end of his Talk, there will be the opportunity to ask questions and to purchase a signed copy of his latest book. There will be no charge for this evening and visitors will be asked to contribute to the Burns Price Foundation which makes grants to young people between the ages of 11 and 18 who want to make a difference in the world.
