This is an opportunity to place an angel on our Remembering Tree to remember the life of a loved one, or to remember someone you won’t be able to see this Christmas, or maybe to say Thank You to someone who has helped you over the last few difficult months.

Small wooden Angels with coloured ribbons for hanging on the Remembering Tree     will be available in St. John’s from Monday 14 December. The Church is open from 10.00am to 3.00pm. There will be colouring pens in the Church or you can decorate the angels at home.

Angels will be hung on the Remembering Tree on Saturday 19 December

Angels cost £1.00 each

The Remembering Tree and the Angels will be lit up in St. John’s during the Christmas period and visitors are very welcome.

Any more information please contact Jo Churchill on 01747 850432

I hope you are all well and staying safe in these difficult times.

We had hoped to keep our village church open, for private prayer and to give people access to the prayer board. Unfortunately, this is not possible at the moment, so we have set up a virtual prayer board and a prayer chain instead.

If you would like prayers for yourself, or for anyone else (you only need to send the first name), email your request to  The names will be sent on, in confidence, to members of the prayer chain, who will pray regularly for those people. Your email address will not be sent on.

Please make sure you have permission before you send any personal information about anyone. It is fine just to send a name and we will pray for them.

God bless you all,

Helen Dawes (Team Rector) & Gillian Cross (PCC Secretary)
