Thirty or so years ago what was to become a flourishing Swing Band started at Shaftesbury School. The band lasted for just over 10 years and recently they held a reunion at St Peter's Church. Two dozen former members turned up and, after a couple of rehearsal sessions, gave an informal concert to families and friends. A truly great day and quite emotional too!

Fundraising Supper Dance
St Peter's Chu
rch are hosting a fundraising Supper Dance on Saturday 11th May at 6.30pm. A 3-course dinner, starting with Prosecco and canapes, plus entertainment and dancing! Do come and join us.

Year 7 Welcome Service in St Peter’s
St Peter's welcomed over 160 Year 7 pupils and their teachers from Shaftesbury School for a special service at the beginning of the new school year. During the service, students tied prayer messages on to a prayer tree and shared some great reflections on the first week of Year 7.
An Afternoon Treat
Sunday 9th September: 3.00pm - an afternoon of musical treats from Peter Miller (violin) and Greg Underwood (piano). Tickets £8 from Gill Waine (01747 851007) or from Motcombe church after services. Afternoon tea is included in the ticket price.

Come and enjoy a special Summer Afternoon Tea in St Peter's Church this Saturday! We will be serving tea and cakes from 2:30 - 4:30pm on Saturday 4th August to raise money for next year's community outreach projects.

Team Barn Service – change of venue!
Please note the Team Barn Service on the Sunday 29th July is now at Lower Breach Farm, West Orchard, SP7 0LL. It is still at 11am, led by Bishop Karen and followed by a Bring & Share lunch.There is parking available and maps should be available in your church or on the following link.
